The Snow Has Gone

The weather is bright and beautiful today, after a long period of rain and grey skies.

The rain has altered the landscape radically. Most of the snow is gone, as you see:

Leaving brown earth and black sand visible. It feels a little bit like spring, but long experience tell me that this is way too soon. The snow will come again, many times over, before the spring really arrives.

  1. Hi Harpa ~ gorgeous rock photo. I hope I see it when I visit this summer.

By the way, I love love love love love the embroidery you are doing on the current felted hat.

  2. Harpa ~ it’s gorgeous! I hope I can make it there when I visit in the summer!!! But like my fellow Canadian above, there’s not much snow here this year either. Also, love love love love the embroidery you are doing on the current hat.

  3. Iceland looks much like where I live in Canada. Strangely devoid of snow for this time of the year. But like you I am not getting lulled into thinking winter is over, even if it does feel like late March instead of early February!
