This is Halldór Gunnar Pálsson. He is a guitar man, a choir director, a composer and a man on a mission. He got the wonderful and altogether crazy idea to capture the voice of the nation in his new song. He figured that 10% of the nation would suffice and he is travelling the country to record the voices of volunteers who sing the chorus under is direction. Everyone is welcome to participate, young and old, experienced singers and beginners alike.
Halldór is a wonderful friendly guy and a family friend too. My husband was his guitar teacher for four years and they have been friends ever since. He visitied Vík on his round tour and recorded those who turned up to sing.
