This is one “pattern” I can release immediately. It’s very simple and perfect to use up rests, as I did here.
Neck-warmer
Size: 6-9 (12 – 18) months
Yarn: some kind of superwash baby wool, for example Lanett, Dale of Norway or something similar. The white in the “model” is Dale, the purple is Lanett and the colored stripes are different kinds of soft sock yarn.
Needles: 2.5 mm (US 2) circulars (for magic loop) or dpn’s
Gauge: 29 stitches and 40 rows = 10×10 cm (4×4 in)
Front/back flap
Co 32 (38) sts and k 3 rows moss stitch.
*k 1 row
k2 st, p until two sts are left on needle, k 2 sts*
Repeat from* to * (stocking st with 2 st garter st edge) for 8 (10.5) cm/ 4.1 (3.1) in
From right side: k2,m1, k until there are two st left on needle, m1,k2. Put to side and make another.
Join both flaps on on needle and k2, p2 in the round. Continue until rib measures 11 (14)cm/ 4.3 (5.5) in, or as desired. Cast of with sewn bind off. This is essential, to make the neck warmer stretchy and soft enough for little heads.
Hide all ends and block as desired.
