Hélène – The Beret is Finished

Here it is, the Hélène beret, all finished.

I have worn it several times actually, but I forgot to blog about it. But better late than never, right?

And the side:

It’s named after Hélène Magnússon, who has done such great work in researching and putting a new spin on the Icelandic knitting tradition. Her book Icelandic Knitting Using Rose Patterns is a great inspiration and so is her webzine.

The new edition has some lovely patterns. Fantastic raven mittens,

feather light shawls,

and many other beautiful things.

And Olivia of course.

She is Theodóras little friend and so is Smali, the brave dog.

I write the adventures of Theodóra in collaboration with Hélène. The second chapter Leading the Way is in the new webzine. The first, Out of the Pen, is here.
