A Modern Vintage Cardigan

A modern Vintage Cardigan

Some things take longer than others. This cardigan was started decades ago, probably in the sixties. In found its way to me, with the back done, one front and a part of the other. There was no pattern and not enough yarn for full sleeves. The cardigan was also very short.

It stayed in my stash for quite a while, but this winter I finally decided what to do with it. The ribbing is done with what was left of the original yarn, along with rests of similar weight wool. And now it’s done. It’s been a bumpy road. I have put it a side several times, made one huge embarrassing mistake (involving a way to tight ribbing that I forgot to try on) that meant a lot of frogging, but here it finally is, all done.

Crochet covered buttons

I especially like the crochet covered buttons. They are very easy to do, the tutorial is here.
