Hvað á „barnið” að heita? Einhverjar skáldlegar og fallegar tillögur?

Ég fór til Reykjavíkur í öskufrí (OK í mjög flott og skemmtilegt brúðkaup, en allar ferðir af suðurströndinni eru öskufrí fyrir mér) og lenti beint í öskumistri í Reykjavík. Það fannst mér ekkert sérlega sniðugt.

Yesterday we had some rain – it was most welcome. It keeps the ash from flying about and making trouble for everyone.

I’m working on a new lace hat – and a improvised cotton top down crochet top that I’m not sure is going to work out. We will see. That reminds me – I need to pop down to the shop to get some plötulopi to finish the hat – I’m all out of white and that does not do!

p.s. The photo is taken as my daughter left the first music school concert of the day, to change into serious rock outfit for the second one. It was the first time she played the electric guitar in public so it was a big moment for her.

Ég tók mynd af svölunum á hverjum morgni þegar ég var fyrir vestan. Þetta eru tvær þeirra.

When I was on my “ash vacation” I visited one of my favorite knitting shops. And took some pictures of course.

My friend Fríða was working in the shop that day – she was just helping out, she is a textile arts teacher in the local school. Notice her beautiful hand-knit dress – and the beautiful lopi sweaters…
